How to develop whatsapp type chat engine using node

We just developed a Chat Server using node. The node is a nonblocking environment we prefer to build a chat server for one of our client using Node. Node has very good support for TCP Sockets and we used them to connect with clients. We again differ here with most of the open source ready made the server as we select the communication protocol as JSON, most of another open source available are on XML.JSON processing in Node is simpler and much faster. Another reason was Node has nonblocking architecture hence we need not wait for the process to get completed the way we would be doing in C/C++ or any other platform.   To read about: Mobility in Banking   READ MORE

PHP Vs Node Performance

PHP was first released in 1995, followed much later by Node.js in 2009, and they are both used as a server-side scripting language for developing web-based applications.

Let's compare both of them

Getting started in PHP and node, one can write code easily, the simpler program like "Hello World" can be developed in very less amount of time.

PHP is older technology and support availabl0e on the internet, libraries, and forums are on the higher side compared to Node. The node also has good support, still, support is not as good as PHP because the node is younger technology. But libraries, framework, and support in terms of support are increasing in Node day by day.     READ MORE

Real time Messaging using MQTT

We at Micra Systems are proud of working on some great technologies and always try to enhance our offerings using newer technologies. In a decoupled architecture where are, modules are working independently but closely, they need interaction. Today is the world of real-time and all modules should get sync in real time only. We have used MQTT for such cases. MQTT is very lightweight, fast and highly scalable. It's an amazing framework and protocol developed by IBM. It's a publisher/subscriber framework. A module can subscribe to multiple channels, and all those modules which want to send some message to those modules they can publish the message to the same channel.   To read about: PHP Vs Node...
